central vermont solid waste management district Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District (CVSWMD) provides leadership, education, and services for residents and businesses in reducing and managing their solid waste in order to protect public health and the environment to the greatest extent feasible.

the goal

CVSWMD has been expanding the information and resources on their website pretty much since they first published a website. We were asked to help them organize their content and navigation into a user friendly and intuitive design as well as provide a local search engine.

what we did

We outlined the content heirarchy and identified the key areas that CVSWMD works in. We then designed the navigation based on this heirarchy. Since this website was launched nearly 2 years ago, CVSWMD has continued to add on new content and 2 new major navigation elements. In addition, we built an A-Z Guide to Waste Reduction and Resource Handling as well as materials request forms.
