the peopleIt's all about people and teamwork. Here's our team.
Greetings, I am the president of 7th Pixel. Your first few conversations (at least) are likely to be with me. I'm responsible for understanding your project from front to back so that we can suggest and then implement a solution to fit your need. I'm also the chief search engine strategist. This means I'm the one who will suggest how best to help your website earn excellent position in the search engines. I'm a firm believer in using organic methods to earn position in the search results. Organic methods are those approved by the search engines themselves. Because there are so many different possible considerations for each project, I regularly attend search conferences to stay current with search technology. These conferences are where I and my peers get a chance to meet with key people in our industry including folks from Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. Sure we visit some great places, but we also get time to discuss ideas and compare notes with our peers from around the world. These conferences have led to many of my professional relationships with people I consider to be the best in the search and web development industry. I'm also active in the search engine and website developer communities and I'm a moderator of the Ecommerce forum at Webmaster World. When I'm not working on client projects or at a conference, I'm often reading up on industry news or testing a new product or service. There are so many new applications, services, and techniques available that I feel an obligation to you to do my best to stay on top of them. Why? Because sometimes just being aware of the right tool can save you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. It makes sense to keep my tool kit up to date. go to top
I'm a web developer with a combination of creative, technical, and business experience. I have worked for over 20 years in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, and web development. I've worked for corporations, agencies, and as a consultant. My experience spans a wide range of businesses and subject matter, including environmental science and engineering, travel & tourism, resort development/construction, manufacturing, specialty foods, restaurant/hospitality, and Internet/IT related services. Regardless of the business or topics involved, my role has always centered around communication — in print or via the Internet. Early in my career, I spent 6 years in New York City where I worked as a talent agent and co-produced an Off-Broadway play. Later, after a number of years as a public relations professional in New Jersey, I returned to Vermont to enjoy living in the Green Mountains once again. Web development and Internet marketing are a natural extension of my past communications work and fit nicely into the rural Vermont lifestyle. go to top
Hello! I'm a website developer and publisher's assistant at 7th Pixel. I work with Gregg and Michael on client projects. My primary responsibility is HTML and CSS development as well as maintain client websites under one of our maintenance contracts. Before working with 7th Pixel, I worked for High Mowing Seeds, an organic seed company in Wolcott, VT, where I was the IT Coordinator, and Manager of Public Relations and Internet Marketing; my work there covered everything from network administration and workstation support, to website development and maintenance, to the development and implementation of a variety of online marketing initiatives, including a Google AdWords advertising campaign and the publication of a monthly online newsletter; I also established a comprehensive public relations database and protocol for the company, and helped secure and promote publication of articles and features about High Mowing Seeds and organic agriculture in general in news outlets around the region. I am also involved in the growing natural building world in the northeast. Having designed and constructed a straw bale home for my family, I have since worked as a professional straw bale and natural plastering (earth, lime, and gypsum) contractor on projects around New England, and teach straw bale design and construction and natural plastering techniques at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Warren, VT. I am involved in research, networking, and organizing within the natural building community to help develop an established natural design and building industry in the region and promote natural building and architecture as a viable alternative in cold climates. go to top |
